January 10, 11, 17 & 18, 2004:
Pat is angered that Roy has been sharing his personal problems with Frank. Barry and Natalie announce that they are moving in together, and will soon be searching for a new flat. Roy insists on helping out with the security deposit. Peggy goes to hospital for the fitting of her prosthesis; initially she is nervous, but the staff is friendly and helpful. Melanie is worried that Courtney is not receiving proper attention from Grant. While under Jamie's care, Courtney wanders into the street. Melanie hurries to catch her and scolds Jamie for not paying attention. Melanie mentions this to Terry, who later offers to watch Courtney. Grant, however, is less than friendly and says he will think about it. Bianca is still upset at Natalie's presence in Walford. Bianca is also frustrated with living above the Vic. She refuses to help behind the bar while Frank and Peggy have a day off. Nina gets mad and walks out, living Ricky to fend for himself. Finally Bianca lends a hand. Steve is uneasy about Teresa's rekindled relationship with Matthew. While Teresa was originally frightend by the truth about Saskia, she is know closer than ever with Matthew. Gianni's date with Melanie is a flop; she talks about Ian the whole night and drinks too much wine. Lisa is interested in Giannia and finally asks him out. They have a few drinks in the pub, and then head over to her flat. She has moved in with the lads (Matthew, Robbie, & Lenny), but the place is empty for the night. Nicki agrees to ask Jamie if he likes Sonia, but then chickens out. Nicki knows that Jamie likes her and not Sonia, but is afraid to tell Sonia. Ian returns from his trip, and appears somewhat preoccupied. He later tells Melanie he is taking her to dinner, so they can talk. Melanie thinks she's getting the sack. Steve hires some people for the new gym, without seeking Annie's approval. This upsets Annie, as well as Grant. Josie is upset that Mick has temporarily moved in with Dr. Fonseca, and that they stayed out so late. Mark warns Melanie that Giannia is just a playboy and is sure to hurt Lisa. Mark tells Giannia not to hurt Lisa. Lilly decides to respond to Garetth's request for visitation. She goes to the prison, however, Garreth has attempted suicide. She is informed that he was unsuccessful and should recover. Lily returns a few days later. She confronts Garreth face to face, telling him that he was wrong and caused her many sleepless nights.

Sorry I missed a few summaries...there was pledging and then the holidays, but I will attempt to update you on the latest happenings in Walford:
Vendors in the market are upset that Ian Beale is undercutting their prices. Beryl, a local vendor, shuts down her stand becuase she can't compete with his prices. Her son hurls a brick through the shop window and just misses Melanie's head. Ian decides to lower the prices, only to change his mind later. He tells Melanie he is leaving town for a while, but insists on keeping his plans a secret. Upset with Ian, and feeling sympathetic for the vendors, Melanie ignores Ian's instructions on restoring his lower prices. Lisa is happy about Melanie's decision, knowing it will please the vendors. Steve continues to watch Matthew like a hawk. Saskia's sister shows up in town, claiming that a woman matching Saskia's description has shown up in a Scottish hospital; the woman has amnesia. She finally convinces Steve to go with her. She is determined to find her sister, and believes the patient may be Saskia. After his return, Steve is becoming impatient with Matthew's anxiety. He drives Matthew to the burial site, and forces Matthew to dig. Steve partially opens the bag and shows him Saskia's body. Matthew wants to tell Teresa his terrible dilemma, but he is constantly haunted by his fear of Steve. Steve tries to scare Teresa away from Matthew, but she insists on finding out Matthew's problem. Rosa claims Nicki was poisoned by Mick's cooking in the night cafe, however, it turns out to be "Nana's" salami. Ian decides business is too slow at the night cafe, and shuts it down. Mick is out of a job, and so is Josie. Josie quit her job at the Vic, disgusted with Nina's tardiness and talking with the customers (not to mention Grant). She takes up Dr. Fonseca's offer to be his receptionist. Peggy and Frank return from their honeymoon. Bianca and Liam return; Ricky has arranged for them to stay above the Vic. Bianca is angry that they don't have their own place to stay, and she can't stand the thought of sleeping in Tiffany's old bedroom. Frank insists that Bianca and Ricky take his and Peggy's room. Bianca is furious to find out that Natalie is back in town; she confronts Natalie and tells her to stay away from Ricky. Natalie explains that she is interested in Barry and also tells Bianca to "grow up". Lily is still scared because of the mugging. She accidentally sprays Dot in the eyes with oven cleaner, under the impression that Dot is an intruder. Dot is alright, but insists that Dr. Fonseca consult with Lily. Dr. Fonseca encourages Lily to get out more, and continue her old activities. Martin and his friends continue to harass Lily by making prank phone calls and alarming noises. Jamie isn't troubled by watching Courtney, but Phil feels Grant is expecting to much of Jamie. Grant has accepted a posistion at Annie's new health club. She is having some trouble with aquiring the necessary funds, but manages to extend the deadline with one of the bank executives. After extensive testing, Roy has discovered that his sexual problems are not health related, but pyschological. Dr. Fonseca encourages Roy to go to counseling, but Roy is put off the idea when Dr. Fonseca says Pat would need to attend the sessions. Barry has given up impressing Sue just to please Pat and Roy. He is now dating Natalie. Sonia has the hots for Jamie, but Jamie is interested in Nicki.

Sunday, November 16 & Saturday, November 22:
Gianni tries his hardest to make Jeff feel unwelcome at the restaurant and at Rosa's surprise meal. Rosa insists that Jeff stay for dinner. Gianni demands to know what is going on between she and Jeff. Rosa claims she and Jeff are only friends, but when Gianni demands an answer from Jeff, Jeff is speechless. Steve explains to Matthew that Annie believes he and Matt are more than just friends; he suggets that Matt find a girlfriend. Barry and Natalie's feelings are strong for one another, but they are too proud to express how they feel. Barry continues to play up his interest in Sue. Now that Melanie has moved back into the vicarage, she and Ian aren't getting along as they used to. Melanie and Lisa spend a night in the Vic doing champagne slammers. As usual, her brother is critical of her behavior and Jeff wants to offer his advice. Dot goes on her trip to see Nigel. Lily is shaken up over her mugging, but insists she is okay. She reveals that her mugger was a resident of Bridge House, Garreth. Pauline insists she report the mugging to the police. Louise receives word from Simon that he is planning on staying in Amsterdam. Louise decides to leave Walford and visit Simon in Amsterdam. She makes a grand exit in the pub, where she tells the patrons what sorry, lost souls they are (including Gianni).
Sunday, November 9 & Saturday, November 15:
Street thugs have been chasing Garreth around the square. When they catch up with him, they demand their money and punch him in the face. Garreth seeks the vicar's help. Garreth wants money to pay the thugs back. The vicar offers to buy Garreth a ticket back home. Garreth insists that the thugs will find him there, and that he must get the money. Lily and Dot decide to help Garreth, by allowing him to do a few odd jobs around their flat . Garreth believes he is going to receive the money he needs, as payment for his help. Lily and Dot, however, are only prepared to offer him some food and a few pounds. When they offer this to him, Garreth becomes angry and throws the bag of food on the floor. Later, when Lily is leaving the First 'till Last, Garreth confronts her, demanding she give him her purse. When Lily refuses, Garreth forces the purse from Lily, knocking her to the ground. Terry rushes outside to help her.
Sunday Nov. 2 & Saturday Nov. 8:
Simon and Tony make-up, admitting their love for one another. Tony insists he is still going to Europe, so Simon says he will go with him. Steve discovers that Matt has lied to him; he knows that Matt was paying Martin for the stolen goods and not for drugs. Robbie is suspicious of Natalie and Ricky, keeping his eye on them in the Vic and around the Square. Barry is taking a keen liking to Sue. Natalie is obviously bothered, but pretends to have a new boyfriend of her own. Dot sees a troubled Garreth, and wants to help. Lily and the vicar warn her against it. Rosa tells Jeff that she only wants friendship. Upset, Jeff leaves the restaurant once again, and goes to the pub. The police question Lenny about the burglary and Matt's whereabouts. The police tell him they have the nicked goods and are waiting for Matthew to claim them. Annie is confused by Steve's obsession with Matthew. Steve searches for Matt, until he finds Matt walking through the square with a packed duffle bag. Steve runs after Matt, but Matt rushes onto a bus. Gianni tells his mom that he and his latest girlfriend are through. Rosa mentions this to Louise, unaware that Louise is the girlfriend.

Sunday, October 26 & Saturday, November 1:
Roy takes Viagra again, after a night out with Pat. The medication works, however, Roy is unable to go through with it. The next morning he feels ill, and Pat convinces him to consult Dr. Fonseca. Dr. Fonseca believes that Roy had a panic attack, and his symptoms were not caused by the medication. Natalie reveals to Ricky her feelings for Barry. Robbie spies Ricky and Natalie talking, and thinks that Ricky is being unfaithful to Bianca. Barry is unaware of Natalie's feelings, and sets up a date with another member of the agency. Unlike the previous date, it goes well, and he plans to see Denise again. Martin apologizes to Ian, but Ian still insists on pressing charges. Martin reveals in his interview with the police, that he also stole from Mark's property (the boys' flat). Later, Ian decides against legal action, thanks to advice from Melanie. Rosa is uncomfortable after her kiss with Jeff, but later takes his side when she discovers her sons' plot against him. One night they stay late in the restaurant drinking wine. Jeff invites Rosa to his place for coffee. The next morning, Rosa takes off work, and later goes to church, where she confesses sleeping with someone (Jeff). She reveals how lonely she has felt since the death of her husband, Guisseppe. Simon arrives home from hospital. Tony has prepared by cleaning Simon's flat and moving in some of his own belongings. Simon is thankful for the help, but bothered by Tony moving in. Simon tells Tony he doesn't want Tony there. Tony is very upset, but later decides to move forward by traveling abroad. Terry warns Simon to talk to Tony before it is too late. Huw's artist friend is going away to art school; she encourages him to come along.
Sunday, October 19 & Saturday, October 25:
Huw gives painting a try, after being inspired by his new love interest. Gianni and Beppe allow Jeff to make an improper booking, hoping to get him fired. Beppe suspects Gianni is seeing Louise. Irene continues to suffer from hot flashes, but refuses to see Dr. Fonseca. Rosa apologizes to Sarah for Luca's behavior. Steve lends Matthew the 200 pounds that Matthew needs to buy his stolen goods back from Martin. Steve figures out the money isn't for new stock, so Matthew lies that it is for drugs. Annie is suspicious of Steve's involvement with Matthew. Martin steals Ian's keys from the shop in order to retrive Matthew's belongings, however, he only returns the watch. Matthew insists that Martin give him the rest, and Martin demands more money. Nina quits her job at the Vic, but returns after Grant apologizes for his slacking. Annie gives Steve a tour of the new health club; Steve questions Annie as to whether she has enough funding. Barry thinks Natalie is uninterested in him, and decides to go on a date with another member of the dating agency. Rosa and Jeff drive to pick up supplies for the restaurant, but the car stalls on the way home and they are forced to wait for a service truck. Jeff explains his feelings for Rosa, and unexpectedly, they kiss. Martin finds Ian's wallet on the table and begins taking the cash from inside, but Ian walks in on him. Martin calls the police and tells them to press charges.
Sunday, October 12 & Saturday, October 18, 2003:
Peggy and Frank get married in a beautiful ceremony, which is almost cancelled when Frank gets the wedding jitters, and nearly leaves the church. Pat arrives to check on Peggy, only to find her still in her dressing gown. Peggy arrives late to the church, after Grant convinces her to get married (yes, Grant actually encouraged her). In fact, Grant even attends the wedding. Melanie and Ian attend the wedding together. They later sneak away from the reception, where they drink champagne in the square and eventually kiss. Ian admits he likes Melanie, and Melanie tells him she feels the same way. Throughout the evening Roy continues to press Pat regarding their sex life. Pat is shocked when she figures out that Roy has taken Viagra. She also finds out the pills weren't prescribed by Dr. Fonseca. Ricky gives a wonderful speech about his father, Frank. Frank then apologizes to his new wife and guests for almost backing-out. Due to an error in ticket times, Peggy and Frank rush to the airport to catch their flight for their honeymoon trip. Martin offers Matthew his stuff for 200 pounds; Matthew asks his dad for the money, but his dad is unable to help. Steve reminds Matthew that he can start DJing at E20 again. Rosa makes up with Jeff over her previous comments, by explaining that she doesn't want to ruin their great friendship. Jeff starts working at Guisseppe's again, and so does Beppe, however, Beppe intends to get Jeff booted again. Huw meets an artist girl, who takes an immediate liking to him. Gianni and Louise have been intimate on several occasions. Gianni is receiving mixed signals due to Louise's jealousy. Louise feels Gianni is using her, but she craves the physical attention.

Sunday, October 5 & Saturday, October 11:
Grant returns to Walford; he finally visits Peggy and learns of her surgery. She assures Grant that she will be around to see Courtney grow up. Grant still refuses to attend the wedding. Frank and Peggy allow Ricky to move into the Queen Vic. Ricky wants to be his best man, so Frank grants his wish and later explains to Roy. Ricky is nervous about making the speech, and later consults the vicar, and even practices in the mirror. Pat and Peggy go shopping to lift Peggy's spirits and find a new wedding dress. Roy responds to a newspaper ad for Viagra. He is instructed to meet the "doctor" in a nearby car park; somewhat reluctant, he purchases the pills. The lads hold a stag night for Frank in Club E20; to Ricky's surprise, a stripper arrives. He offers to have her leave, but Frank is too busy enjoying himself. In the square, Matthew grabs hold of Martin and demands his things back. Martin plays dumb. Alone downstairs, Martin checks over the CD's in Matthew's sack, and finds the video. He begins watching it, and is interupted by Mark. After dinner, he places the tape back into the bag and hides the bag. Later Matthew sneaks into Martin's house, but is unable to find anything. Martin stashes a bag of the stolen goods in Ian's basement. (I'm not sure if this bag contains Matthew's sack with the tape inside.) Sonia is jealous of Martin and Nicki's relationship, however, Nicki promises she is finished with Martin. Jeff overhears Rosa insisting to Gianni, that she has no feelings for Jeff. Jeff had come to ask for his job back, but leaves after hearing this. Barry feels betrayed by Natalie because she did not tell him of her past with Ricky; he decides to end their business relationship, tearing down the posters and packing all her files in boxes. Natalie tells Barry that backing out of their business deal is unfair. Barry reconsiders, and says the deal is back on. Melanie's brother, the vicar, warns her against living with Ian; he is upset that Ian has already asked her to cook and watch the children.

Sunday, September 28 & Saturday, October 4:
Peggy can't bear to look in her wardrobe; the thought of getting dressed disgusts her. She tears into her wedding dress with scissors. Irene and Rosa return from their spa trip feeling calm and refreshed. When Rosa returns to Guisseppe's, she sees the broken window. Rosa confronts Luca, who finally admits to pushing Sarah too far. Gianni warns Luca and his friend, Roberto, never to return to Walford. Gianni drops the charges against Tony. Sarah tells Tony that she wasn't raped, and Tony apologizes for acting so irrationally. Huw, Robbie, and Matthew find their flat has been burglarized. Matthew frantically searches for his pack containing the videotape, but is unable to find it. In order to keep Robbie and Huw from calling the police, he says drugs were in his bag. Regardless, Robbie attempts to call the police, and Matthew snatches the phone from him and throws it onto the floor. Steve hears about the incident, but is unaware that any tape exists. Martin nicks a CD from Matthew's stand, and convinces Nicki to take wine from her mum's restaurant. Jeff catches her and tells her he won't squeal, if she puts it back. Mel fails at her attempt to cook dinner for Ian and his 3 children; the food was too exotic. Ian and Phil discover that Jamie is selling stolen goods. Matthew also realizes this. He goes to confront Jamie, but is pushed out by Ian and Phil. Matthew manages to sneak back into the store, and hears Ian, Phil, and Jamie talking about the stolen goods. First Jamie refuses to grass, but he then admits that Martin Fowler is the culprit.
Sunday, September 21 & Saturday, September 27:
Initially Sarah takes a liking to Luca, but later rejects him when he comes on too strong. Teresa, however, has no problem getting hot and heavy with Luca's friend. Peggy is encouraged by her nurse to look at the bandages, but is hesitant. Frank proposes a honeymoon cruise, but Peggy isn't interested. Rosa goes to the health spa with Irene. Terry is caught spying on them, and is thought to be a peeping-tom. Finally Terry convinces management that Irene is his wife. The deal on Melanie's flat falls through and now she must choose between living with Ian or staying in the vicarage. Tony notices a change in Sarah's attitude and suspects that Luca has harmed her in some way. Tony confronts Luca in Guiseppe's restaurant. Angered by Luca's rude remarks, Tony punches Luca. Gianni pushes the two men outside and Beppe tells Tony to get lost. Tony insults Beppe and Beppe punches Tony in the nose. Tony then picks up a chair and throws it at the DiMarcos, but it crashes through one of the restaurant windows. The police later question Tony; Tony pleads for Sarah to defend him, but she is too frustrated by her brother's rash behavior.
Sunday, September 14 & Saturday, September 20:
Pat convinces Barry that he has feelings for Natalie; Barry decides to call her, while at the Queen Vic. Frank has an appointment in Manchester which he explains as a business trip, but later admits to Roy that he plans to visit an ex-flame. He also expresses his worries about the effects of the surgery on Peggy's physical appearance. The night before the surgery, Peggy attempts to have a night of romance, but Phil feels odd and turns from her advances. Upon awakening from her surgery, Peggy asks for Phil and Frank, however, Frank is unable to face Peggy. Phil makes an excuse for Frank, in order to spare Peggy's feelings. Although she pretends to understand, she is hurt and breaks down crying after Phil leaves.
Louise rescues Simon from the fire in her flat, unable to wait for the fire rescue team. Gianni follows her in, and later testifies of Louise's bravery, after Beppe demands that Louise leave the DiMarco house. Beppe tells Rosa of Louise's infidelity, and Rosa tells Gianni that Louise must find somewhere else to stay. Simon is transported to a special burns unit at another hospital. Terry has become suspicious of Irene. He calls the number in her purse and discovers it belongs to a day spa. He finds out that she is registered for the "weekend special". Steve and Annie set a date for a night out, however, it's ruined by Matthew's abnoxious behavior towards Steve. Matthew tells Annie that she must like to live dangerously since she is hanging out with Steve.

Sun., Sept. 7th & Sat., Sept. 13th, 2003:
Ricky receives a notice of eviction, and decides to delay telling Bianca until after Liam's christening.
Liam's christening is a success. Even Louise attends, without a harsh word from Bianca. Tony warns Simon not to drink too much, because of the powerful effect of the tranquillizers. Later, however, Bianca learns of the eviction when Lenny accidentally spills the beans. Upset, Bianca runs off to visit her mother. Frank and Peggy discover that Peggy's only option is a masectomy. Peggy insists that she won't have the operation, but later tells Phil that she is going through with it. She also informs Nina of her upcoming operation. Simon catches wind of a secret his mom is keeping from him and goes to his mum's flat to confront her. Louise tells Simon about her affair with Grant, and Simon leaves her flat in a state of shock. Louise tries later to find him, but without success. Rosa sees Louise is worried and convinces her to go into the restaurant and have a drink. In the meantime, Simon returns to his mother's flat where he becomes enraged, throwing things about. He finds old family films and sets them on fire with a lighter, he throws them into a trashcan which then falls unto the floor as Simon passes out on the couch. Jamie has a visit from an old friend, who tries convincing him to return to a life of stealing. Jamie refuses, and the old friend threatens to tell Ian and Melanie about Jamie's past offenses. Matthew plans on leaving Walford, since the lease is up on his parent's old house, but Robbie assures Matthew that he can stay with he, Lenny, and Huw. Matthew leaves his things at the flat, only to find out later that some bully has boarded the place up and is occupying the flat. Matthew forces his way in, in order to aquire his belongings. He checks his bag for the video tape from the night Saskia was killed. He finds it as Steve approaches; Steve doesn't see it and offers for Matthew to stay at his place. Matthew tells Steve he is finished with him. Steve tells Matthew to watch it, but Matthew tells Steve he isn't scared. Teresa and Sarah are becoming good friends; they go shopping for some modern clothes and Sarah knocks the boys out, when she and Teresa make their entrance at the Vic. Barry's date is a knock-out, but a little too friendly and quick with the drink. She ends up with arms around and lips firmly pressed against the salsa instuctor. Natalie convinces Barry to try another date. Robbie spots Natalie and warns her to leave Walford. He explains she isn't welcome after interfering with Bianca and Ricky's marriage. Irene is suffering from menopause and Rosa encourages Irene to try hormone replacement.
Sun., August 31st & Sat., Sept. 6th, 2003:
New episodes are now airing first on Sunday at 11 PM and then repeat on Saturday at 5 PM. In this episode,
Frank and Peggy await the news from the hospital. When the call comes, Peggy is asked to come to the hospital to hear the results. Ricky decides to hold Liam's christening party at the Vic. While Peggy's mind is on the test results, she glady agrees to help with the catering and arrangements. Natalie has set up a dating agency in Walford called, "Romantic Relations." Barry decides to give the service a try and meets with Natalie for an interview. Simon continues to feel better now that his mom is back in town and he is back to work. Tony gives Simon some of his mom's pain tranquillizers, which Simon begins taking. Louise asks Tony what they are, and he assures Louise that they are an herbal supplement reccommended by the chemist. Louise tries to find the right moment to tell Simon about her secret, but can't bring her self to do it. Sarah agrees to go to a new club on the high street, with Teresa, however, they are refused admittance because Sarah's clothes aren't stylish enough. Jeff talks to Dot about the Valentine's card, still under the impression that Lily sent it. Dot is relieved to hear that Jeff thinks it is Lily who has a crush on him. Dot decides to have some fun antagonizing Lily.

Pledge drive-Eastenders not aired. This may change the repeat episode schedule. For the past several weeks, the newest episode was aired Sunday and then repeated the following Saturday. However, the newest episode may air this Saturday (August 23) at 5 PM and then be repeated Sunday (August 24) at 11 PM. I'll keep you posted : ) April
Sunday August 10, 2003:
Grant and Tony convince Simon to hand over Courtney, after Grant promises Simon he is now allowed to see Courtney. Grant then decides to take Courtney out of town with him. Tony is afraid Simon will be dissappointed, but Grant says Tony can see Courtney once they return. Simon's spirits seem to lift after a visit from Dr. Fonseca, and a call from his mother, Louise. Dr. Fonseca tells Simon he needs to get out more; Louise calls Simon to tell him that she is returning to Walford. Bianca is angered by the news and is contemplating tellilng Simon about Louise's fling with Grant (uh oh). Steve is visited by DCI Mason, who is investigating Saskia's dissappearance. Steve leads Mason to believe that Saskia was so upset over their break-up that she may have caused harm to herself. Steve tells Matthew to get his story straight, because if he blows it, he will be next on the chopping block. Sarah continues to be frustruted with life. Club E20 holds Salsa night. Barry is excited to see the ads for "Romantic Relations", but Huw warns Barry of the dangers of joining a dating agency. Barry and Huw go to Salsa night instead, only to find Dot, Lily, and Mick's grandmother in attendance. Jeff, Teresa, and Rosa think Lily sent the Valentine's card. Dot overhears Sarah and Teresa joking about it, and thinks they are referring to her when they say she (meaning Lily) is too old to have crushes. ; )April

Sunday August 3, 2003:
Peggy sees Dr. Fonseca regarding the suspected lump in her breast. Dr. Fonseca confirms there is a lump, however, a biopsy must be taken to determine if it is cancerous. Peggy finally reveals to Frank that she may have cancer. Sarah is questioning her faith and ability to succeed in life. The vicar attempts to comfort her, but Sarah is feeling hopeless. Mary is preparing to leave for Scotland. Mark explains that his rude remarks were only intended to convince Mary to go be with her family. Pauline is finally informed of Ruth's affair and her move to Scotland. Melanie hires Jamie to assist her in Ian's shop. Matthew continues to worry about Saskia's death, drinking early and often. Saskia's sister comes to town looking for Saskia; Steve plays it cool as usual. Rosa apologizes to Jeff for missing her date with him. They agree to have a date after a few drinks with Lilly and Dot. Lilly tells Dot to go on her own, convinced that Jeff is interested in Lilly romantically. Dot leaves the Vic as soon as she realizes Jeff has a date with Rosa. Teresa demands her stash back from Nikki and Martin, only some of it is missing when Martin returns it. Simon is sinking into deeper depression over current events; he is desperate to see Courtney. Terry prepares for Courtney's visit, while trying to keep things quiet around Simon. Simon, however, catches wind of the visit and convinces Tony to sneak him inside Terry's house. Terry catches Simon and forces him outside. The next morning, Simon manages to take Courtney, without anyone seeing him. Tony and Grant race to the shore to find Simon and Courtney. When they call to Simon, Simon backs away and begins to loose his footing on the rocky cliff.
July 27 & August 2, 2003:
Pat confronts Dr. Fonseca, explaining that he should have treated Bianca and Ricky with more respect. While in the Vic, Tony asks Dr. Fonseca whether he can administer medication for a friend's depression (Simon's). Irene interrupts and asks Dr. Fonseca a question about her back. Dr. Fonseca is angered by this lunchtime interruption, excuses himself, and quickly leaves the pub. Peggy and Frank are planning a romantic night together, however, Peggy discovers a lump in her breast while getting dressed. She keeps this information from Frank, and Frank can't understand what is bothering her. Mark notices something is bothering Peggy, and Peggy confides in Mark. Mark urges her to see Dr. Fonseca, but Peggy is still apprehensive about seeing a new doctor. Matthew continues to drink heavily, and winds up getting sick in the Vic bathroom. Soon after, Matthew begins to tell Jamie what has been weighing on his mind, only to be cut off by Steve's entrance. Steve tells Jamie to leave, and then escorts Matthew outside. Steve tells Matthew to get out of town before he brings too much attention to himself. Grant agrees to let Terry watch Courtney for a night. Simon is happy to hear the news, but soon learns that Grant has banned him from seeing Courtney. Rosa forgets about her date with Jeff and Jeff is left feeling stood up. He then agrees to have drinks with Lilly and Dot the following evening. Dot is under the impression that Jeff is interested in her romantically.
Sunday July 20 & Saturday July 26, 2003:
Saskia is dead; Steve convinces Matthew they cannot go to the police. Steve wraps the body in black garbage bags and tape. He forces Matthew to assist in disposing of Saskia's personal affects as well as Steve's bloodied shirt. Terry sees Matthew and Steve placing a heavy object in the trunk, but believes their explanation that it's rubbish. They drive to the woods and quickly burry the body before daylight breaks. Irene's back is bothering her again so she takes the day off. Sarah wishes to continue working at Bridge house regardless of Den's advances towards her. The vicar suggests she stop working there and let Nina fill the posistion. Sarah is very upset. Nina finally bumps into Den (a former client who recently turned up in Walford). Sarah overhears he and Nina talking about Nina's former lifestyle. Ian finds Steve in his shop with his hands on Melanie's face...Melanie is shaken up but Ian reassures her it isn't her fault. She tells Ian that she isn't in love with Steve. Bianca and Ricky consult Dr. Fonseca because they are worried Liam is sick. Dr. Fonseca assures them that Liam is fine, and that housecalls are only for emergencies...not babies who are crying. Grant has temporarily moved in with Phil and Jamie. Jamie is not keen on this idea. Peggy is ready to plan her wedding, but Frank says they should wait until things blow over with Grant. -April

Sunday July 13, 2003 & Saturday July 19, 2003:
The Valentine's Day episode! Mary goes to Ruth, asking her if Connor is the father. Ruth confirms it, and Mary demands that Ruth tell Mark and Connor. Mary retrieves Mark from the market and brings him to Ruth. Ruth simply tells Mark that she has to get away for a while. Mark finds out from Mary that Ruth is pregnant by Connor. Enraged, Mark goes to the garage, where he punches Connor. It is Mary who breaks them up. Connor then goes to Ruth's where he tells her she shouldn't leave Walford, because he has a right to raise the baby. Ruth is still ready to leave Walford, and later proceeds to the train station. Mark goes to the station and pleads with Ruth to stay, but after an embrace, she lets go and runs to catch her train. Michael is torn between Lisa and Susan, but in seeing Michael's indecision, Lisa insists he stay with Susan, and allow her to get on with life. Susan and Michael tell Matthew he is free to stay in Walford, and isn't obligated to move to Leeds with them. Terry hires a singer to serenade Irene, only the Valentine singer turns out to be a stripper. Everyone in the Vic cheers as Irene dances with the stripper. Frank tells Grant that he is moving into the Vic whether Grant likes it or not; at first Grant gives in, but later he changes his mind. Peggy and Frank decide to get away from the Vic, and go eat dinner at Guissepe's. When Peggy returns home she finds Grant and Nina sitting together on the bed; Nina is just about to give Grant a kiss. Peggy races back down the steps and tells Grant she will be staying the night with Frank. Grant insists it's not what it looked like (which is the truth but Peggy doesn't believe it). Steve convinces Melanie to visit him at his new club, E20. It's opening night, and Matthew is DJ. Everything goes fine until Saskia shows up. She sneaks back to Steve's office, where she finds Steve and Melanie on the couch talking. Melanie is fed up with both Saskia and Steve and storms out of the office. It is then that Saskia begins to attack Steve in a drunken rage. Matthew realizes that Saskia has slipped past him, and he enters the office in time to pull Saskia off of Steve; Saskia flings Matthew across the room and once again begins choking Steve. Steve desperately reaches for an ash tray, which he uses to hit Saskia. Saskia falls to the floor, eyes wide open, and bleeding from the head. -April

A really great hour of Eastenders. Ruth is about to tell Mark her secret, when Mary shows up at the door. Michael is preparing to wisk his family of to Leeds in order to make a fresh start of things, and get away from Lisa. He lies to Susan, telling her that Lisa is replacing him, and that she was after his job. Susan confronts Lisa, however, Lisa thinks Susan is angry about the affair, unaware of the lie that Michael has told Susan. Saskia is in tears once again, as she tries to win over Steve. Saskia brags to Melanie about her sexual triumphs with Steve. Saskia tells Melanie that Steve only used her. Melanie slaps Saskia, and her drink glass crashes to the floor. Melanie storms out of the pub only to be followed by Saskia, who tells Melanie about "the baby". Melanie goes to Steve's flat to confront him. Steve insists that he only slept with Saskia once, and that it was a terrible mistake; he explains that he was drunk and upset. He tells Melanie that he never knew of any baby until Saskia appeared in Walford. He tells Melanie that Saskia had an abortion, and that he was not the father. Melanie doesn't believe his story and storms out. Nina ponders leaving Walford, because a former client shows up in town; he is staying at Bridge House. Irene convinces her to stay. Nina agrees to watch Courtney while Grant goes to a lunch. Terry catches wind of this, and decides to stop by. Grant's lunch is cancelled, and he walks in on Terry holding Courtney. Bianca is questioned by an investigator regarding the letter; she confirms that Tiffany's letter contained evidence that would put Grant in the clear. Mary continues to bother Ruth; she wants to know who the father of the baby is. Mary goes to Connor to see if he has any ideas. Mary later accuses Connor of being the father.
Sunday, June 29, 2003 & Saturday, July 5:
Grant takes Tiffany's ashes to the coast, where he scatters them. Mary continues to pressure Ruth to tell Mark about the pregnancy. Ruth becomes angry and tells Mary that Mark is not the father. Sarah is upset at Terry and Irene's marriage, and is bothered by Nina living in her parents' house. Peggy asks Frank to give her some time and keep his distance until things cool down with Grant. Michael promises Lisa that he will tell Susan about their relationship, however, Susan has decided to make a fresh start of things with Michael, and Michael agrees. Saskia reveals to Melanie that she was Steve's ex-girlfriend. Melanie is surprised and angry; when Steve approaches her later, she tells him where to get off. Steve ends up in bed with Saskia, who says she will never let go of him again. -April
Sunday, June 22 & Saturday June 28, 2003:
Teresa continues to flirt with Ricky, but Ricky is merely annoyed. Frank prepares to move into the Queen Vic, however, Grant is outraged when Frank shows up with his suitcases. Mark reveals to Ruth that his medication is causing his hands to tingle. Ruth is still hiding the pregnancy from Mark. Ruth phones her mom to ask if she can visit, however, Ruths mom turns her down. The murder charge against Grant is dropped. Peggy convinces Grant to pick up Tiffanys ashes. Grant tells Peggy the pub is overstaffed and someone must go. Originally its decided that Josie must go, but then Nina convinces Grant to offer a "job share", where she and Josie will split the hours. Saskia has moved into a flat, not far from the square. Steve goes there to find out what Saskia is really up to. After an emotional speech, Saskia turns to leave, but Steve stops her. Two seconds later Saskia and Steve are kissing one another. In the meanwhile, Melanie waits for a response at Steve's door. She tells Phil she has been stood up, and they go into the pub for a drink. Lisa can no longer hold back her feelings for Michael. Susan looks suspicious when she sees Michael and Lisa in the pub. Terry's idea to fix up the "Next till Last" was merely a trick to get Irene dressed up and out of the house. He hires a cab which takes them to the registrar's office; there he asks Irene to marry him, and she says "yes". Dot and Lily decide to be roomates afterall.
